Hello ,i have problem with my 4 GB kingston pen drive. whenever i try to copy or delete something it gives me an error that 'The disk is write protected.remove the write protection or use another disk'.please help me..what should i supposed to do?

When i copy any data to my 32 Gb Kingston pen drive whether any audio or video file or any software, the data get corrupted or may be deleted. some trimes it happen that some of the AV files are working. Why this happened that the data are deleted. I have lost many of my files due to this.It cannot be fomatted also. Please sort my this problem. Thanx

i hv a 32 GB kingston pendrive, it can copy any type of data but whenever i copy from pen drive into my pc or copy from my pc to pen drive, it shows multiple empty folders in the same folder n audio-video files got currupted, softwares too. and also unable to delet

There are many duplicate Pen drives usually 32, 64 GB.... They are very cheap price without warranty.

Next time buy a pen drive only from a shop like Computer Peripheral vendor where you will find the Pen Dive more expensive but with warranty. They are real one and their capacity are 2, 4 or 8Gb

this must a result of virus, check your pen drive witha updated virus cleaner and also protect your system with a lattest virus gaurd.

Try to right click your pen drive then copy and paste it on your My Documents folder. When done, follow these steps:
1. Go to start menu
2. Click Run and type cmd
==A command prompt shows.==
3. Type cd\
4. Type format x:
5. Press Enter key
6. When done type exit

Note: Copy all the files you have transferred on your My Documents folder and paste files again to your pen drive. You can now do whatever you want on your pen drive.

in the market there are fake kingston pen drives, check when you are plugging the pen drive it is detecting by the kingston or usb disk, if in the name of usb disk then its the fake

if u format ur pen drive. then use this step

Check out the registry under:

1)click on start button
2)clik on run dialog box
3)type regedit
4) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.
The value 'WriteProtect' should be absent or set to '0' and when you try to format it you have to format it as FAT16

right click on my computer after inserting the pen drive in usb, click on manage and select disk managment from left pan, you can format your pen drive by right clicking on it

my multi-card (SD) kingston 2 GB is unable to copy , delete and format. It is always say that your multi-card is write-protect. I try to delete some file on it. It is able to delete but i reconnect to my PC,it shows my previous deleting files. why? If you have time , help me please.
