If the Forced flash setting is already enabled and the flash is still not working, then the issue may be due to another camera setting. Even if the Forced flash setting is enabled, the flash will still not work in the following circumstances:
When shooting MPEG movies When shooting in the Twilight or Handheld Twilight mode If shooting with the Burst or Multi Burst mode Shooting with Sweep Panorama Shooting with the Fireworks or High Sensitivity mode. If an external flash is connected.
Please make sure that the Camera is not set to any of these modes. You can check the manual to get the information to change the setting..
If the issue persists, please reset the Camera and make sure that battery is fully charged. If the issue persists after performing all the above mentioned troubleshooting steps, service is required.
Thanks for understanding.

Flash doesn't work at all anymore even when i select always flash. What to do?

Check that batteries are fresh. Check that camera hasn't been set for no-flash mode.
Give the flash time to charge before pressing shutter.

I have a Canon Power Shot A720. Outdoor photos are beautiful. Indoor photos are always grainy/blurry...a lot of noise. I have tried the ISP feature but there are only two choices... 1. Auto or 2....

Hi Usually outdoor picture are good within small compact camera. They designed like that. But now your unit just have flash pcb defective. When flash function work, your picture will be good indoor. Regarding your flash unit would be brown fuse or replacement of flash unit. It is 50 and 50 chance. Your local repair shop would charge around $35 to 95 depend on what they really want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

When switched from flash to no-flash, icon on screen does not change and camera won't flash. How do I get this camera to always flash.

Hi in some of these cameras i have found that unless you are in low light conditions it simply will NOT flash, or even setup. So try setting it up in a very low light environment? See if that works. It did for me.

Imagines are dark even in bright light

the flash settings should have been kept in auto mode.if you want the flash always.normally, there is a button near the lcd screen, with the symbol of a lightning flash. when you press it once it sets the flash mode to auto, second time it sets it to "flash always on mode", third time "flash always off" mode.you can refer this process in instruction manual also.thanks for using fixya! please dont forget to rate my solution.

How do i set flash for just one flash. it goes off many times for each shot even though "auto" is selected. thank you.

Depends on the camera. Most cameras set on auto that multi flash is only to make sure that the sensor inside is getting the right amount of light. What type of camera is it?
