Look for a little wireless icon in purple on the keyboard in the F keys up top. Example F9.

You hold down the Fn on the bottom of your keyboard and at the same time press the (example F9) to enable wireless.

It varies by model and I don't know which F key it is on the c400. You should be able to tell.

I took my Dell laptop to school and hooked up to the internet there. Now at home it will not pick up to my wireless internet and I cannot get online.

Check your wireless network connections. I believe most Dell's use a special utility. Look for anything wireless related on the bottom right hand of your lcd. Can you at least see the wireless networks? If not you might want to double-check to see if you accidently switched the wireless power switch off. It's usually located somewhere around the sides or the front of the laptop.

Wireless switch

do you mean to turn the wireless on?
I am not familur with the 400 but I think the wireless is on/off by the operating system. at the very least it will be on the key pad.
there are function keys FN that need to be pressed at the same time as the wireless symble on the keyboard. that could possibley turn on/off wireless. then the rest is in the software. it needs to be set up.
get back to me:)
