I don't know what happened, I bought this camera in another country and I was trying to recharge the battery of the camera and I let it for 3 days on recharging , but when I turned on, its screen wasn't good, it was very much clear to white like it is failing. I've lost my guide, so I don't know what I can do.

That's odd, because only a year ago you were looking in, and quoting, the manual to solve another issue.

Many chargers will "cook" the battery if left in too long. Should be a thermal switch to stop charging when full and hot.
Also most batteries have a useful life of a couple years. If too dead wont charge. Come up with another way to power the camers

SOURCE: lost power adapter (Jass DV-179)

I actually have a spare from a camera that I had to return because of battery issues and thinking it was something wrong with the camera itself, but here's my e-mail if you would pay for shipping it to you, I just realized that I have two power adapters for the camera. [email protected] is my e-mail, so e-mail me and we can work something out.

SOURCE: Recharging Battery

Check to make sure that the battery is seated properly and check the battery posts for wear and tear or corrosion.

SOURCE: My Jazz Dv179 Digital Camcorder Won't recharge

The battery in the camera is likely not a rechargable one. Check the print on the battery. Mine was not so I assume your is not as well. The maker of the camera was pretty cheap not supplying a rechargable battery, for the price they ask for the camera.

Jackie, You will hace to do just a bit of searching to solve your problem,... here's how to do it.
Juse type in "Jazz DV-179 Digital Camera charger needed" into a Google search and pick the company to buy your next one from. I have done this at least 8 times to replace lost chargers for my camera collection.

My nikon S3000 has been giving me many problems ever since I bought it. My latest problem is when I turn it on one day, it indicates that 'battery exhasted', but I had fully charged it previously. And...

Rechargeable batteries don't last forever and the ones supplied with the camera are not of very good quality. Try new batteries and also consider getting another recharger as the Nikon supplied one is very basic and does not take good care of the batteries it's used with.

My olympus isn't turning on

Try putting in regular batteries and see if it will turn on. The rechargeable batteries might be over-taxed and won't recharge. My Olympus camera works just as good on regular batteries as on the rechargeable ones. It is easier to come up with regular batteries than having to always run to the docking station to recharge the original batteries.

I hope this works for you.

Kodak Z712IS-batteries die so quickly

you can't really get around the fact that digital cameras create a heavy strain on batteries. rechargables are the only way to go with them. now about the chinese battery. the voltage may be fine but that is not under load (being in the camera during operation) so it's deceptive about the voltage.

Samsung S 730

The only good idea is to use rechargable batteries. Digital cameras go through batteries like crazy so the only thing that works for me is getting rechargable batteries that you can charge when they get low. I got them and they work great.

Epson 3100 life battery

I have a 3100z and you are right that alkaline batteries do not last long. The thing to do is buy a couple of sets of NiMH rechargable batteries and they last much longer. I,ve just been on holiday and had no problems at all with the batteries. (Although the camera does not give much warning when they need replacing).
