There might be something wrong with the tv remote. turn the tv on then make it on a high volume then put the remote in a different room and see if the volume turns down if it doesn't then you have some thing wrong with the remote not the tv.

My panasonic tv model TC32LX85 N has self check and wont go away?

To Exit Self-check Screen
  • Press and Hold Power button on the TV for 5 seconds [or] disconnect the AC cord from wall socket.
TV volume down and OK on the remote only does a basic IC self check. It do not rest the TV. It do not clear channel programmed settings, picture settings, channel labels, lock settings or password. Using this method, it shows the units' firmware version [Peaks 1.050 and GenX 1.00] and it checks the IC communications only. This is more useful to identify the firmware version, without having to decode the info in the setup menu about version/screen.

TO RESET THE UNIT
  • To make a reset to TV, turn it ON while pressing the [Volume-ve] button on the main unit, and press the 'Menu' button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds. The self check menu appear on the screen. Then disconnect the AC cord from the wall outlet. [ALL PROGRAMMED PARAMETERS WILL BE ERASED]

Hi,

The easiest way is to reset the TV. There are 3 possible resets for this TV. press and hold Action and Power on the TV until self check appears-- then unplug the TV wait for 30 sec. then plug back in. The reset should take care of any channel lock/ game guard settings

Also Volume down on unit and sleep on remote. Same process wait for self check then unplug for 30 sec. plug back in and turn on.

Last Volume down on the unit and RH-Split on the remote-- same process
hope this will be helpfull. Please rates me . Goodluck...................

PUT IN A NEW LAMP BUT NEED TO KNOW HOW TO RESET TIMER. THE WORDS STAY ON THE SCREEN FOR 1 MINUTE.

Turn the TV on, and once the timer leaves the screen (after 1 minute as you say) you do the following.

Hold both the "Volume Down" button on the TV it's self and the "Split" button on the remote for at least 5 seconds. That should reset the timer.

Panasonic sets need to be reset to clear the v-chip settings. To do this, put it in standby mode, then press the POWER and ACTION buttons at the same time and then turn the power off. The set should reset to the factory defaults, and reset the v-chip

TV volume is half of want it should be.

the problem is not the cable into your house, but the amplifier it self, if the amplifier is not been powered if a rightful voltage, that can happen. if you are not happy with the output than take your tv to a repair shop, so that an amplifier can be worked on.

Cant turn off panasonic PIP

To turn off the "stuck" pip on a Panasonic tv without a remote, turn off the tv. Then hold down the "Action" button on the front of the tv and press the power button. This will activate a reset and self check of the systems and voila! The pesky pip screen will be gone! This is on an approximately 10 year old regular crt "CT-xxxxx" series tv.
