The power door locks for my 1996 Odyssey just stopped working. I can't lock/unlock the doors with either the key fob or the front door lock buttons. When you try the door lock buttons, you can hear a buz noise in the front drivers door area. Even checked the fuse under the hood, noise stopped with no fuse. I think it is the door lock control unit but not sure. Any suggestions and any ideas how much to fix? Thanks Jim

Sure sounds like your problem is the power door lock control unit. Best thing to do is get a replacement unit(new or used) and install it, unless you can open and fix the defective unit yourself.

Sorry my car was not listed so picked Altima 2003 Micra Intelligent key fob not working properly. Can drive the car but cannot open or lock the doors. Did get fob wet. Now dried out. Worked for first few...

You are going to need to check the power lock control moduel on the inside of the door panel. If the FOB appears to be working but the doors are not unlocking, you need to check this. I would also replace all fuses that control the locks. If both of these devices check out ok, you may need to replace your FOB. To check your power lock control moduel, manually lock and unlock your doors by pressing the lock button on the inside of the door. If it does not work, it is either the fuses or the power lock control moduel. If it works, your FOB has gone bad. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

How do you repair the automatic door locks on a 96 Honda Odessey? They make clicking noises after locking the door. the key is worn and I cannot unlock the drivers side door.

Replace the key.
you should have a remote lock/unlock key fob, dose it not work?
Make sure that your battery and cables are in good shape, if batt is low or you have corroded cables there will not be able to activete all the way.
If this won't work then remove the door pannel an inspect the linkage, it may not be making full contact.

2004 Civic Drivers door lock

The driver's side door lock button is designed not to lock from the inside unless the handle is pulled, or the power switch is used. This serves as a reminder to not lock your keys inside.

If you are inside, and push down on the button (not the switch) hard enough to lock it, you've probably damaged it.
