I cannot get the playstation to play without a remote

I'm sorry to inform you that the Blu-ray player requires the remote to playback the blu-ray movies. You can playback normal DVD video disc which has auto play option. In order to go though the Menu items before start playing a Blu-ray DVD. Hence Remote is must..

Hold START and ENTER while in the accessories section of your settings on your PS3. You should see a spot for the remote. That connects it.

yes as long as it has the button for it.look for tv/video button.if none, then buy a remote like a universal remote is the only option.

this happened to me and my cousin before ,all you have to do is buy a touch screen universal remote that has the word video on it. From -nj3

you cannot control a ps3 with that remote because the playstation 3 only works with bluetooth. I'm sorry to have to tell you. you can purchase a remote that works with your system at any that sells your system.

You have to press triangle on the remote control and the menu will come up.

try going to channel 00, or look for the "aux" or "input" button on the tv. if anything you can get a universal remote control.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to convert PS1 games over to your PSP without altering the system’s firmware and possibly violating several end-user license agreements in the process.

Sony does however, support a function of the PSP called "remote play" that allows you to play content that is currently loaded into a Playstation 3 you own over a WLAN, home network or via internet access. Typically this means that you would need to physically have a PS1 disc in the PS3 in order to play it, though content that is stored on the PS3's hard drive can also be played as well. i have a tv that only has the audio out put and video out put as well . and my playstation 2 works on it. just plug the white and yellow ends in to your tv and it will still work without you unplugging any cables. hope this helps.

I have the opposite problem. I don't have the remote, it broke, and I'm stuck on channels when I want to play a game. How do I fix that without the remote?!
