Switching ddr to ddr2 memory

re-examine the memory chips.... sometimes swapping slots (still ddr2 slots) will fix the issue. the other possibility might be that you have to set them up in the bios ... if you happen to have the manual for that board.... make sure there isn't supposed to be a jumper on the motherboard that needs to be changed as well.... some ideas to try... in the mean time i'll go look and see if i can find the manual myself and perhaps i'll have found it.

Ram goes in the two blue slots, sound & modem in white PCI slots, video in orange AGP slot.  You can't put cards in the wrong slots.
