My question was posted on May 25 supposedly but I don't see it anywhere. Question was about a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis losing power.

Wow, that is strange Rick, as your posting history only shows this post. We do have someone that we suspect is deleting posts for points. I have called him out a few times! The are lots of ideas here. Start with the easy stuff, check Air Filter, MAF and clean the Throttle body.https://www.google.com/search?q=1993+Mercury+Grand+Marquis+losing+power..

My etr machine is back dating when producing monthly total sales

If your Mercury 130W electronic transaction register (ETR) machine is backdating when producing monthly total sales, there may be a problem with the machine's settings or software. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the date and time settings: The date and time settings on the ETR machine may be incorrect, which can cause the machine to backdate when producing monthly total sales. To check the date and time settings, press the "Menu" button on the ETR machine and navigate to the "Date/Time" settings. Make sure that the date and time are correct and adjust them if necessary.
  2. Check for software updates: The ETR machine may be using an outdated version of the software, which can cause issues with the monthly total sales. To check for software updates, press the "Menu" button on the ETR machine and navigate to the "Software" settings. If there are any updates available, download and install them to see if they resolve the issue.
  3. Reset the machine: If the date and time settings and software are up to date, you can try resetting the ETR machine to see if that resolves the issue. To reset the machine, press the "Menu" button on the ETR machine and navigate to the "Reset" settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the machine, and then try producing the monthly total sales again to see if the problem is resolved.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it is best to contact the manufacturer of the Mercury 130W ETR machine for further assistance. They should be able to provide you with specific guidance for troubleshooting the problem with your machine.

Hi drivers problem

Hi hari2tell2
You don't say which Operating System you use, so my answer will be presented in general, Windows terms. If yours is a non-Windows Operating System and my answer seems to be of some relevance to you, please consider applying the logic and principles involved here to your own Operating System and, if in doubt, please feel free to add a Comment or Clarification to this Question. You also don't say if you are using the on-board devices or separate, dedicated, internal or external Devices. Please include information about the type, model and specification of your computer, its Devices and its Operating System. Doing so helps us makes faster, more accurate and more assured Remote Diagnostics leading to better quality and more useful Advice, Answers, Guidelines , How-Tos and Solutions. This is probably a BIOS Settings or Driver or Device Settings problem. Try 2 things first: Make sure all the relevant Device functions in BIOS are 'Enabled' and then save those new BIOS Settings. To enter BIOS Setup, Press 'F2' or 'Del' during the first POST Screen at Start Up. Check the status of the Devices and their Drivers in Device Manager. Start > (My) Computer > (System Properties) View System Settings > Device Manager This will tell you if the Devices are installed and functioning properly and if their Drivers are installed properly. If a red 'x' or a yellow question or exclamation mark appears next to a Device, then there is probably a settings anomaly, fault, error or conflict with that Device and/or its Driver. Re-install the correct Drivers that relate to BOTH the device and your Operating System, then restart the computer. Install the Drivers either from the motherboard's Drivers and utilities CD or from here: http://www.mercury-pc.com/downloads_list.php?productid=644 Please note that this motherboard appears to support only Win 2000/Win XP/Win 2003 Server and possibly also some Linux Distros (Operating Systems). If your Operating System is not included in this list, then it is highly probable that no Drivers exist for that Operating System. If you are committed to both this Motherboard and an unsupported Operating System, then consider buying and installing either a basic 5.1 or 7.1, internal PCI Sound Card or an external USB Sound Card, an AGP Graphics Card, a PCI LAN/Ethernet/NIC Card, a PCI Wireless Network adapter Card that are all pre-confirmed as being compatible with your Operating System. All can be relatively inexpensive. See examples below. The term "Drivers" is meaningless without associating it with an Operating System and a specific item of Hardware. There is no such thing as just " Drivers". There are XP VGA Drivers, Vista Graphics Drivers, Windows 7 LAN Drivers, Mac OSX Tiger WLAN Drivers, Mac OSX Leopard Epson Sx100 Printer Drivers, Mac OSX Lion Webcam Drivers, Linux Red Hat MIDI Controller Drivers and Linux Ubuntu Media Player Drivers, etc. Although drivers seem to mainly be about hardware, they are actually primarily about software. The Driver does not physically control the Motherboard's Devices. The Operating System and (to a lesser extent) the BIOS do that. What the Driver does (just like a human interpreter for a guest who speaks a different language from his host), is to introduce the Device to the Operating System and help them to communicate with each other, with the Driver taking instructions from both and passing it back and forth between them. So when one mentions Drivers, one must also mention the Operating System it will be talking to. In order for that to be possible, the two must share a common language. If they do not, then the role of 'interpreter' is impossible, because, then neither the Driver nor the Device will be able to understand what the Operating System is saying and vice versa.I hope this helps.

Mercury Motherboard PI845GLM-L manual

If my information is correct;

Orient the motherboard so that we are both looking at it in the same direction,
Processor to the top, Ram Memory slots to the right, white PCI slots to the bottom.

The front plastic panel of your computer that has the Power On button, Harddrive activity LED light, and Power On LED light, is the Front Panel.

The area of pins on the motherboard, that the wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

The Front Panel header is all the way down on the right corner. Panel 1.

The Front Panel header, or Panel 1, is a rectangular block that is positioned lengthwise, across the bottom of the motherboard.

There are 4 pins across the Top, and 5 pins across the Bottom.

The pins are numbered.
They are numbered Even across the Top row.
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. (There is NO Pin 10. Just a blank spot)

They are numbered Odd across the Bottom row.
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light. (HDD LED)
Pin 1 is for the Positive wire. ( + )
{ Pin 2 is for the Negative wire. ( - ) }

If the LED light is dim when operating, turn the wires around.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch, (Reset button), IF a Reset switch is used.
Pin 5 is for the Negative wire

C) Pin 9 is RVSD_DNU
Reserved Do Not Use.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 2 is for the Positive ( + ) wire.

If the LED light is dim turn the wires around.

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

Installing a camber kit on a 2005 mercury mountaineerd

I am not familiar with the model or the kit but increasing the negative camber, which presumably is the purpose of the kit, is a popular way of improving handling, sometimes at the expense of tyre life. Unless there is a particular reason for modifying manufacturer's specifications it probably isn't wise to do so because it can open a whole different can of worms - if the process is to be successful an understanding of the theory will be useful as well as access to the equipment necessary for the final checking and setting of the angles and determining the new toe setting.
