To wire a Dean Edge bass guitar with four pots (potentiometers) and a battery, you will need to follow the wiring diagram for the specific model of your bass guitar. Here is a general overview of the wiring process:
Start by connecting the ground wires to the pots and the battery. The ground wires should be connected to the ground terminal on each pot and the negative terminal on the battery.
Next, connect the power wires to the pots and the battery. The power wires should be connected to the positive terminal on the battery and to the power terminal on each pot.
Connect the pickup wires to the pots and the output jack. The pickup wires should be connected to the pickup terminals on the pots and to the input terminals on the output jack.
Connect the control wires to the pots and the output jack. The control wires should be connected to the control terminals on the pots and to the output terminals on the output jack.
Test the wiring to make sure everything is working properly. If there are any issues with the wiring, you may need to double-check your connections or consult the wiring diagram for your specific bass guitar model.
It is recommended that you follow the wiring diagram provided by Dean or consult a qualified technician if you are not comfortable wiring the bass guitar yourself. Improper wiring can damage the guitar and potentially pose a safety hazard.
Ibanez serial number can tell you two things, year of manufacture and factory [or country] of manufacture. with most typical Ibanez serial numbers the first 2 digits will indicate year, or the first digit will indicate the last digit of the year, but there are also some that indicate no year at all. There is no master list to correlate to a model number,This particular style serial number will either be on the neck plate or right into the back of the headstock. It consists of a letter, A - L, followed by a 6 digit number. The letter stands for the month, A for January etc., the first 2 digits will be the year, 76 is 1976, 96 is 1996, the last 4 digits will be the consecutive production number for that months production, 1356 would be the 1356th guitar produced that month. This form of serial numbering is still used today on guitars where the number is impressed into the back of the headstock. A761356 - The 1356th guitar produced in January '76, hope that helps
Watch videos on YouTube about guitaar setup. You won't find specific ones, but find one for the same type hollow or solid body and view several. The videos tell what we could not put in words here.

The serial numbers repeat evry 10 years... you have to know what decade is likely thenfrom the Yamaha wizard:
Your guitar was made on January 15th, 1985, 1995 or 2005 Production Number: 3
Almost any guitar shop[ can replace a damaged pot without rebuilding the whole wiring harness. Pots usually only have three wires or some might have an extra pair if the pot has an integral switch. The hardest part will be to get an exact replacement pot.
