Re: Hello,
I have found that Ibanez AEL20 guitars'...
There is little data on the internet about this... However my AEL20E uses 2 AA cells. Some older ones may have used a 9 volt battery. Yours should use the 2 AA cells which go into the box right by the XLR output plug.
Hello, thanks!
Yes, two AA batteries 1,5V each - 3V total.
How the same preamps work with such a difference voltages?
I have not yet plugged-in my guitar, so, perhaps, it may work. The tuner works well with 3V voltage.
Where can I find any data in the internet on this issue?
Thank you!
Mikheil
There are AA size 3V batteries available, may be this is the way to get 6V for this Ibanez preamp? any experience?
Did you ever solve this? It makes me wonder if this is the reason so many of the pickups are failing or weak? Maybe we should all be using these special 3V AA batteries instead (x 2)??? But i am scared to try when i read things like this:https://www.soltacusa.com/shop/p/14505
