My mp3 player got dissconnected by accident after downloading music to it

MP3 players can only play audio books and music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.

When you connect the MP3 player to yourcomputer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as anexternal storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder onyour MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the playerexactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. Toorganise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album andplace the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from thecomputer into this folder.
You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music albumfolder. To delete a filefrom your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and thenplug it into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view thefiles, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and thenpress the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. It has to be done using a PC. First download the songs on your PC and put them in a folder. Please remember to name the folder. Next connect the Coby using a USB cable provided by the company to the PC. Click on my computer and see if your see the Coby device on the screen, next right click the mouse on the music folder and select Copy , then right click on the Coby logo on My Computer and select Paste. The music files will be transferred to the Coby device.

Thry the solution below. If it does not work then you need to reformat. Also you might want to go to the coby website and download a updated version on the firmware and reflash your player. This will set it back to factory settings.

1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. Find and click the "Sync" tab. This is located at the very top of the program.
3. Plug the Coby mp3 player into one of the USB ports found on your computer. Depending on the exact Coby mp3 player that you own, you can either plug the player directly into the USB port or by using the cord that came with the Coby mp3 player. The name of the Coby mp3 player will appear in the top right corner of Windows Media Player.
4. Click "Library." This link will be on the left side of the program.
5. Double-click the "Songs" option in the middle of the screen.
6. Scroll through the list of music on your computer until you find the songs you want to put on the Coby mp3 player. Right-click on the title of the song and a drop box will appear. Select "Add to Sync List." You will then notice the song listed in the column located on the right side of the program.
7. Repeat the previous step until you're finished putting songs on the Coby mp3 player.
8. Click the "Start Sync" tab located beneath the list of songs you chose in Step 6. Those songs will then be added to your Coby mp3 player.

Your music may be in the wrong format or it may have DRM protection which is a license created by the recording industry. If you call our tech support number above, we can walk you through discovering why the music won't play.

Coby players can recognize .mp3 and .wma audio formats. If you're pulling the music from iTunes, it's in the wrong format and will not play on a Coby without being converted.

I too, have a MP3 PLAYER that everytime i download some music everytime i do sometimes the music be on there and sometimes it doesn't and do i have to have a USB cord with out downloading
