I have the same problem with my dinovo after 2 years of usage, and i have found a temporary fix. The temporary fix is to connect the dinovo to another computer and then hammer the keys vigorously, prefferably if dragging your finger over the keys, the keys will then start funcion immediately. Then connect dinovo to the first (main) computer again, and here the keys wont function, but after hammering them again vigorously it also starts working again here. However this is a temporary solution and the problem will probably reocurr. Notably hammering the keys on the first (main) computer wont yield any results even after long time of hammering without the second computer-lockup. Signalerror from logitech to specific computer? If there was dust this would never work on other computer so fast, and the error would not reocurr after being fixed.
It looks to me like Logitech changed the design a bit. I found no such "CAP", however the problem did in fact lie in the same spot under the sleep button. I found a flat cable that had 6 jumper wires running through it to be the culprit. The cable was made too big, so they bent it to make it fit thus damaging it. I'm going to have to replace it, but just from playing with it a little I got my keyboard to turn on advertising a full charge and when I set it on the base I get a green light off happiness.
What are you trying to ask, are you saying that this doesnt happen on your dinovo, is the charging dock plugged into a working outlet. Check that, if it doesnt work at all, contact logitech for a replacement.
