I have a First Alert Smoke Detector Model SA 86RAC.When I changed the Battery today it beeps.How do I fix this problem?

No instructions. I was wondering how to start/set the unit to work?

Unit Malfunction
In the rare event that your alarm malfunctions,
it will alert you with a short “chirp” and the red
LED will flash once every 30 seconds. The
digital model will display “Err” as shown in
Fig. 6.
Seven years after initial power up, this unit will "chirp" every
30 seconds to indicate that it is time to replace the alarm.
The unit will not detect CO in this condition. Please replace
immediately.

You will need to remove the unit from the ceiling to reveal the battery compartment on the back. It should just need to be rotated counter clockwise a small amount and will then come loose from the bracket. When installing a new battey be sure to press the battery reminder finger down into the battery compartment or the battery door will not close. If detector is more then 5 years old it will beep every 30 seconde to wirn you the sensor in the detector needs to be replaced. bying a new detector would be better.
