Posted on Dec 05, 2010

Purchased this timer (Woods Digital Timer Cat. No. 59203) this time last year to run my Christmas decorations. It work like a charm. Now setting up decorations this year and nothing shows on the display of the timer. Does it go into hibernation or something when not in use or should I just go purchase another one?

If this is not your timer, add a comment or look through Woods page
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Most of the plug-in digital-programmable timers have rechargeable battery.
Some have a AAA battery that is replaceable, but most do not.
59203 has rechargeable battery.
Battery is not replaceable.

Plug timer into wall for 1/2-1 hour.
If display does not show, then battery did not recharge.
Either timer is broken or wall outlet does not have electricity

Lost instruction for operation of woods indoor digital 24 hour timer (59203)

1) Copy following link for possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#Oval

2) Don't forget to reset timer to clear traces of prior programming.
Timer has internal rechargeable battery that eventually gives out, rendering timer useless.
Timer has 1 year limited warranty through Coleman.

3) Suggested replacement timer: Woods 59009, 59008, 59007.
Two prong and 3-prong outlets, rated for CFL LED incandescent etc
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#50009

4) Or buy timer locally for ez return if timer does not work.

5) Jan 2013: Best brands for warranty support are probably Woods, Intermatic, GE, Tork, Sylvania, Leviton.
Promotional-grade timers from First Alert, Timex, Brinks, Stanley-Westinghouse, Utilitec etc may not have clear on-line warranty support.

The directions say press clock. this timer has no clock button. The buttons are mode, prog, min, hour, and time. On the back it says digital timer cat no 59203.

I think there are different manuals for the oval-shaped timer, and several different numbers, maybe more:
Open following link to identify timer and download different manuals.
One of them might work.

I lost instructions for setting my 111 Woods timer. It is used indoors. Please send me instructions Thank you and have a merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you also.

I do not show a Woods 111 timer.
However Woods is sold under many different numbers and a few different brand names.
Link below goes to all Woods timers and manuals:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Step 1) Scroll through page and look carefully at the timers to help identify your timer. Similar timers might set the same way as your timer. Add a comment any time.
Step 2) Add a comment and describe your indoor timer. Is it wired into the wall, or does it plug in. Describe the buttons in detail or the dial, describe override switch if it has one. Give as much information as you can think, and then I will check other resources
Step 3) Check list of other brands because Woods carries over into other brands as well. I am familiar with these timers.

My 24 digital timer its not working! isnt there anyway to reset? it doesnt show anything on the screen!! why?

If plug-in timer does not display, then
1) Reset button has tripped > push reset with paper clip
2) power is off > plug something else in receptacle to check receptacle
3) timer is loose in receptacle > unplug timer, spread prongs a bit, and plug back in
4) timer has gone bad.

Except for a few Woods and Intermatic outdoor timers, plug-in timers have internal rechargeable battery. Battery is not replaceable so when battery goes bad, the timer is bad.

See other Woods plug-in timers:
