My XO Vision DVD player in my car headrests stopped reading discs. It says no disc even when one is in the unit. Tried to clean it with a cleaning disc and it didn't help.

You either have a dirty optical pickup or a bad one in the unit--it reads the disc.
They do make a cleaning disc but that is only 50-50 chance(sometimes a disc gets put in with some kind of residue on it)
If bad the built in player will cost more to fix/replace than a cheap external unit connected to rear inputs in place of it--this is the real issue with combo units--usually cheaply made etc.
how long have you been using the player? And has it been giving you this type of problem before now?
I think the fault is from the laser (lens) of your player. The lens is very weak such that it cannot read the data or files on a disc, that's why it should disc error, even though it plays some disc but that doesn't mean its not a lens problem.
You need to look for a way to replace the lens for your player so that it can play all discs perfectly well again.
I am sure that you have tried using another DVD.
Try putting a Music CD and see if it can read it.
In any case, even if the CD works, it looks that you have a faulty unit the laser on the drive is probably bad now but just in case it is just dirty, try to clean it with a Cleaning Disk and see if the problem disappear.
I believe Vizualogic has serious quality problems. I had RT20 installed and it was defective to start with. The headphones did not work on one unit and the other unit made a loud sound when it was turned on. I had the units replaced. The new units had a new problem - Disc Error. The players were not able to read the discs. The installer tried another unit and it also had the same disc error problem. Interestingly, the word disc was spelled as DSIC - can you believe the quality control on Vizualogic prodict?
The installer then found that a wire had come loose in one of the units. He applied some tape to hold the wire in place. The unit seemed to transmit sound again. Well, a broken connection, disc error in multiple units and incorrect spelling was enough to turn me off. I am now trying to get some other brand installed.
When player says no disk, even if the disk inside, and you hear a whirring and clicking noise when you insert a disk, that means that the CD lens is dirty or defective, and the CD drive cannot read the initial CD track, and returns no disk.
Try first using a CD cleaner disk, if that does not work, then you will need to take the apart the unit to clean lens with isopropyil alcohol and cotton sticks.
See also the following websites on how to clean the lens, use a cleaner disk first:
you can get the cleaning disc at any electronic store or even at some other stores like drug stores and even at the dollar store , but if the laser lens is probably to dirty to even see that disc if your player will not even read a music disc, have you tried a music disc? can it read it ? if so the cleaning disc will work.
if not then taking the player apart and manually cleaning the lens will be required
