Set the lp filter to about 100 to 125 (or lower if want seep boomy only) , put the bass eq no more than 75% but i would recommend no more than 50%, gain is to match the sound not to adjust power with so it is a user preference start all the way down and slowly go up till u hear distortion then turn it back down by about 10 - 15 %, phase shoild typically be at 0 degrees, subsonic depends on if you r using sealed or ported ported turn it all the way down then adjust as needed to get rid of the lower sounds you dont want (muddy sloppy sounding bass) if sealed turn it all the way up to at least 35 hz.

Setting low pass and bass eq

the only thing that might damage equiptment other than playing it too loud would be running at 1 ohm if not supported by the amplifier.

as far as the eq and crossover settings, that is dependent on personal preference, and the acoustics of the paticular vheicle installed

Setting low pass and bass eq

Hello, i have a hifonics brutus also, in the manual it states to set the eq at half way, so that there is no clipping or at least to prevent clipping , the eq will make the bass punchier, if you do go pass half way, i would recommend to readjust your gain settings, also check your head unit settings and make sure everything is flat, bass, mid bass etc. example i had my eq past half but i had my gain at mid way, it was hitting hard, then i tried turning the eq all the way down and the turning up the gain and the bass was smoother so it depends where you set it, and what settings you have on your head unit tone control (bass, treble etc)

Amps

The phase is used to match the phase of the sub, highs amps. If you don't know how to determine if there's a phasing problem between the two amps and you can hear no difference, leave it set to 0.

Many people use the subsonic to prevent over driving speakers in a ported enclosure. If you're using a sealed enclosure, leave it set to the lowest frequency. If you have a ported enclosure, set it just below the resonant frequency of the port in your enclosure.
