I uninstalled my audio drivers on my toshiba satellite pro m10 (I think they were "Vinyl AC 97" drivers or something along those lines)

As you have access to another machine (as you have posted here!), go to the Toshiba site, and find the drivers for your laptop.

(There are three M10 laptops showing, this is one of them: Driver for Toshiba Satellite Pro M10-S405, or you could choose from: THIS PAGE, where you can choose the exact model).

Download them to a USB stick, or write them to a DVD/CD and keep them safe in case you need them again in the future.

check your system performance thru task manager. check for CPU usage. usually COU usage is 1% to 10%. if your CPU usage would peak from 10% to 100% there is a huge possibility that there is program running on your computer that eats up your memory. Or it could be spyware/malware

Unfortunatly, it is time to replace the cooling fan. It is fairly easy to replace if you know your way around the pc. If not, a tech should be able to replace it in about 1 hour.

This could be muted check where the speaker icon is on your task bar click on that and open up properties check and see and verifiy things did not get muted accidently. If not please reply I may have further solution for you to check.

You could start by looking for drivers here. The exact model number should be on the tag affixed to the bottom of the laptop.

are you using a pentium m or centrino cpu in your notebook?
if you cant find the drivers for yours, just use the ones for a model with the same components.
the m10 was released with pentium m or centrino processor, 4 models with each cpu.
