I can't type K L and other fuction unless Press FN key.. How do I solve this problem in my laptop
It does not sound like a software issue. Are the keys too hard to press or too loose?
The keyboardmay have a battery compartment sort of hidden on the underside. I think it takes 2 AA batteries. There's nothing in or on the box that explains what you gain by installing batteries Maybe your keyboard requires batteries for the Fn function? if you need further assistance you can send me a message
Hi,
Do the other key using 'Fn' functions like 'End' ,Number works fine?
thank you
Hi,
Hi,
Hi,
The above keys do not do anything by default but can be mapped to something using Shortcuts,
Go to System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts. Next, click the Add button and add an item to programme
Thank You

downloads should work unless the server is busy until you close the browser.

Usually answered in minutes!
Yes they do as do F1, F2 F5
Yes they work fine...
Sorry, No they don't work with the Fn key............
I will try that and let you know, mayabe a day or to. Cheers Phil
As I mentioned in the first note, the keys work quite well by themselves as "F" keys, but not with the "Fn" pressed as well, also the notebook is less than 12 months old, not used in a dirty environment and looked after, don't think it would be dirty yet.
I replied back to others but nothing has worked yet, I triad to eplain that the "F" keys work fine by themselves, but only half of them work in conjunction with the "Fn" key. I have tryed downloading latest drivers & drivers & patches from ASUS, but nothing seems to fix the issue ???????????
I really am getting tired of repeating myself, the keys are not to tight or to loose, they are just fine & when used as a normal "F" key they do what they are supposed to do & without any excessive pushing or extra force. It is just that some of them do not work when they are pressed with the "Fn" key to perform extra functions, it is the between th link between the combination of the "F" key & the "Fn" keys, I have even tried ASUS, , they gave me a patch to install but that hasn't fixed it either.
I have found the problem. I had to activate the "Hotkey Service" in the Eee PC under programs, just double click on it, not much seems to happen but it fixes the issues, thanx everyone who offered help.
