My lg vx 8300 cell phone (the old one) has a very bad problem. my main screen shows nothing but white i can't look up numbers, go to my camera or any of that stuff. i really want to get my pictures off my phone of my children but i don't know how to get there. what do i do???? what should I do??? On the 8300, the LCD is connected woth a flex cable to the main board. It might have loosened at the connection oint or you might have damaged your LCD. Either way the phoe needs to be opened up and checked physically.
The white screen is most often caused by a defective "flex cable" (Connects the keypad section to the display section). When this happened to my girlfriends VX 8500 I found a new cable on eBay for $10 (came with screwdriver and opening tool) and replaced the cable and the issue was resolved. Hope this helps
If the new screen is white and old screen displays 20% of the display then you can check by flashing the software , in most the cases white screen is the software problem.....
mine did this a few weeks ago. there's no solution; you need a new phone. if you talk to verizon they'll send you a new one for free; they sent me the new chocolate !! if they wanna make you pay the fifty dollars; tell them to google "lg chocolate white screen"...it worked for me :D
My screen goes blank from time to time and when I turn it off and turn it back on again, it seems to re-boot itself and is fine. However, I have never had this problem with any other phone and fear my phone may be dying. It is only 1 year old and worked fine for the first 8 months I had it. But the blank screen seems to happen more frequently lately. I don't think I will buy and LG again.
