without c drive??? your c drive contains all the basic info nedded for your computer to function normally.. mess with the windows or program files and your pc goes POOF!!.. actually errors may occur and pc wont function normally...
Hello, Yes, in fact you will most likely be able to get an upgrade as most HPs have a 5400 RPM hard drive and you can find great 7200rpm SATA hard drives.
There are also 10000rpm drives available but at this point they aren't worth the price in my professional opinion.
Changing of a battery is not subject for loss of data because all a battery does is keep your time and BIOS dates and information intact not the hard drive which is opposite and is not powered by a battery. Hope this helps. John
hello well i had this problem also and i fixed it the drive is still there but windows is not loading the icons for it to fix this you have to shut down your computer let it cool of then open the case check to see if the wire fore you dvd came lose remove it then plug it back in the and remove the cable from tyhe mother board wait a few minutes then reattach it to the mother bord if this works thats it if it dosent its one more you have go in the the computer management and see if its on or if you have some errors on it atapi errors if not every thing checks out maybe the data red and silver srip conected to the drive remove it and put back and if you still get it go in to the drive properties and check the properties to see if its working
