Hi there

On your Blackberry menu, there's an icon that resembles a person's head that represents profiles. In the profiles menu, you can select the volume for the notifications you receive when messages or calls come in. Choose "Loud" to hear all notifications at an equal volume, equivalent to the maximum output possible.

Some ring tones just remain less audible than others even when they're set to maximum volume. If you've tried increasing the volume of your notifications but still can't hear the ringer sometimes, try downloading a custom ringtone from the Blackberry App Store.

When selecting a custom ringtone, choose something distinctive and hard to ignore. When previewing the tone, determine whether it seems louder or easier to hear than your existing tone. Download more than one tone and experiment throughout the day.

After you've downloaded custom ringtones, set your phone to use these ringers by going into the applicable notification profile. Select "Show Tunes" and open the media folder where you've chosen to save your downloaded tones. Select the ringer you want and click "Set as Phone Tune."

My problem is ringer volume i cant when someone is calling

Hi, when a phone has a ringer volume problem, is either the ringer of the phone is weak and you can't hear when someone calls you or the volume of the ringer is yet at a very low level in sound.

You will need to check the volume settings of the phone if the volume is low so you can increase it to a high level.

If the setting of the volume is high, that means the ringer that a makes you hear when people call is weak and will need to be replaced.

Any further question or comment, you can pass it on as comment.

Take care.

Hello, I have a blackberry 9000 and the volume when ppl call sounds low.

i'm not a blackberry person, but i'm sure just like other phones that it has the same settings. solution 1: while in call, press the volume up button on the side repeatedly until you can here. 2: go into menu, settings, there should be something like calls or volume or something similar, there should be a master volume, a media volume, alarm volume, in call volume and speakerfone volume, there may be others as well. select in call volume and increase to maximum. 3: your phone may just be a more quite phone, try a bluetooth earpiece or speakerphone

I have a new blackberry bold and even though the volume is set at high my phone still rings very low and also the music and i am frustrated

Hi,

Use the side key on the right side of your blackberry bold and this should settle it, if that fails to work go to Options>Profiles>Loud.

This should do.

Kind Regards

My blackberry bolds ringtones dont work all it does is viberate

Make sure the speaker phone works. play the ringtones in the media folders if they play your phone's speaker is good, if they dont your speaker is bad.

If the speaker is good then go to the sound profiles and advanced to edit the profile of your choice... make sure it is the one you are using. Make sure it is set with ringtone volume play sound always

The speaker volume on my blackberry bold is very low

the problem came from hardware, a poor speakerphone contact. If you press on upper part of your bold, the ring volume will be increased.
So, the workaround is to insert between batery and backcover a folded piece of paper to press the upper side of phone.

Can't hear ringer

I had this same problem with my Blackberry. You should check the settings on your sound and volume for incoming calls and make sure you have a tone set. You can also find a way to amplify your ringtone by hooking it up to your computer. If you dont' hear anything at all, then check the buttons on the side and see if that increases the volume. Low custom (individual) ring volume

This is not a B/B fault, unfortunatley the person who recorded the ringtone has recorded it at a low level, import into a wave/mp3 studio program and alter the recorded levels.

That is if you have tried the following:

Select Speaker Icon on the front screen of your 8100 (top right) press pearl in, scroll down to advanced, select the current profile (this is defaulted to Normal). Scroll to Phone and press pearl in.

Change Volume to High, if it's already on high, try the option above.

Bold 9000 ring and alert volume way too low, regardless of settings

Some of the ringtones in the Bold don't seem to be suited for "loud" profiles.
Try to edit your settings for the ringtone, making sure you pay attention to the correct settings.
To edit your ring settings
-go to your "profiles" screen -roll the ball to the bottom and select "advanced" -highlight the profile you want to edit -use your BB button to select "edit"
-choose the "phone" application -choose the setting you would like to edit (in holster or out of holster) -choose your volume setting from here.
This should solve your problem
