I have had lots probs with computer and lost my LITEON 18X DVD/CD writer & Rewiter

Lost your DVD Writer means ?
Does it stopped working !
Open The cabinet of the CPU and check the IDE Channel
BUS- cable if that is plugged properly.Also check if the Power plug is properly inserted to your DVD Rom,

If both are checked properly, get the lense of the DVD checked in service center. maximum of the CD/DVD problem arises due to damage in the lense. Anyways, The cost of the lense comes to be almost equal to the DVD ROM price :)

That's fine, you won't need the CD, just install the burner and the computer will automatically recognize it.

I have a liteon rewriter The door will not open

There is usually an emergency eject. It is a small hole near the door. This runs the eject mechanism. Straighten a paper clip partly and push into the eject hole, straight in.
It is possible the writer has not completed a write on the disc due to a defect, power failure or a bad disk.
The writer maybe defective and the next disk will also jam.

I have just bought a lg GE20 External Super Multi DVD Rewriter. The drive is recognised but when I insert the install disk this is not recognised at all. Neither are any other DVD-Roms I insert.

Please install NERO cd/ dvd writer software. With out these u r dvd writer can t read any dvd on read CD. Hope you understand.

My LG GH-22LP20 Super Multi DVD Rewriter cannot read anymore DVDs. It can only read CDs. How do I solve this? Help!

It's "dying" -- replace it. If it is an "external" casing, with an "internal" DVD-writer inside, you could open the casing, remove the "dead" drive, buy a new drive, and install it into the case.

your best bet is to google your product such as (google search "HP DVD940e Burner Software") and see if you can find it, if not contact your dealer and ask for a replacement CD

The Drive you purchased is a SATA interface, the system you have uses Parallal ATA IDE interface.

You need to get a Drive with an IDE interface for that system.

I have fust got a new dvd burner {LiteOn 20x /- Ram & DL Black DVD Writer Rewriter} after installing it .i rebooted the computer ,bur it wont come on .i took the writer back out and the computer fired...

No but it sounds like your burner is DOA. Take it back and exchange it.

Of course, since the drivers needed should be compatible with Vista... that's the problem on Vista, it still has a lot of problems with the drivers of old peripherals.

Visit Vista website and find a compatible driver or ask on their online help desk on what to do with your printer;s driver....
