Your monitor is working otherwise you will not see the cursor on the screen, you are having computer problem, not the monitor problem. The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.
Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.
After reboot your problem should be resolved.

Calibrate the control panel
Use the following procedure to calibrate the control panel:
1. Turn the device off.
2. Press and hold the # key and the C key.
3. Turn the device on.
4. When a small white square appears in the upper-left corner of the control-panel display, touch
the square with a stylus.
5. When a small white square appears in the lower-left corner of the control-panel display, touch
the square with a stylus.
6. Allow the device to finish the boot process.

The small harness is the same above with the upper right position being pin 1 going down to pin 4 then back up to the top for pin 5 down to pin 8.
