You need to give the model number to get exact instructions. On most Fisher & Paykel ovens there is a button with a picture of a hand over it. You press this button to take it off auto. I expect if yours is new it will be the same. If you need a user manual you can get one in Adobe Reader format from http://www.fisherpaykel.com.au/customercare/userguide/index.cfm
When the element gets over heat the over automatically turns off.You can set this function called "auto off " in oven settings.You can turn this option "ON or OFF".But if the option is not turning off then its the fault in the panel or the functions are not working or the oven is not sensing heat so its not turning OFF.------------------

If the oven just flashing "00:0" and nothing is getting started.Then this can be issue with timer control or the issue with control panel board. Unplug the oven for few hours.like 1 hour then reconnect and check and see if that helps.Also see if the door is getting properly closed.
