These directions are for an AT and T phone, but other than that, are the same for any carrier. Not really that's depends on which this option can solve your problem. Option 1, try to use your PUK code to unlock samsung M8800 security password, just enter any password until your phone request your puk code. Puk code can you get from your sim card bundle or ask to your network provider, don't worry it's still not take any charge. If option 1 fail, try to unlock samsung security code by reflashing your phone to nearly local mobile phone repair shop and it will take you some cost but not to costly arround 1/10 of your phone price.

Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no. If you cant contact through your phone get some other phone and contact them.
Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.
