I have taken some 120 snaps with Sony Digicam, When I connected the cam to the pc, it detected some virus and deleted it. But when I open the folder it only shows one folder which is 0 bytes and some hidden files. I am unable to view the folder which contains the photos(DCIM). But when I see the properties of the camera when detected as extra drive it shows some 200MB, but the folder contents are 0 bytes. I am afraid that my photos might be lost if I format the card. Can some one suggest me a solution which will help me to take the pics without formatting the card.
I have a problem with my sony digicam i cannot open DCIM i think have a virus but i scan in computer but also i didnt open DCIM what the sign of virus folder so i can delete
Hi, I got the solution for myself. Initially I have enabled to view the hidden folder option and even then I was not able to see the folder, then later I have disabled the options Hide Extensions for Known file types and Hide Protected Operating system files. Then I could see the folder and able to retrieve the photos. Once I have taken my photos I have formatted my MMC card and it is working normally.
