My small inexpensive dehumidifier stopped working, its trying to start but just can't. I have never cleaned it, lost the instructions. 1 yr. old it worked great all this time . Thanks Johnny L. PS its a Comfort Zone Eva Dry the least $$ on the market a year ago suitable for one room .

My LG LHD45EL all of a sudden

Short on refrigerant... or a failed compressor. are most likely or a system problem, causing it to trip off.

There may also be a failed electrical component, you need to check for voltage at the compressor.

Depending on the ambient temp/humidity and how its set it could definitely run continually. If you don't hear it it's possible the blade is broken or just stuck.
