I have a 648FX-A working with a P4 2.66Ghz and recently bought a P4 3.0Ghz cpu so i could have a bit more out of the board. The problems is that it doesn't work with the 3.0 processor, the systems boots but nothing appears on screen, when i switch back it does ok. I recently bought a new psu too holding 500w, honestly i don't understand why this is happening. I've already upgraded to the latest bios to (1.0c) and the problem remains, reseted bios..

Looking up the motherboard online shows that it supports the 3.0Ghz processors but only the nothwood ones, not the prescott ones. and only up to 800Mhz side bus.

Hope this helps, sorry if your cpu is a prescott, if it is a northwood RMA it for a new one.
