Bulge battery! i cannot use my portable dvd player, portable! the charger should always be plug or connected to the electric outlet while viewing..i noticed that my battery is bulge and even if it is fully charge once u unplug it it will turned off...where can i buy a new battery? i got durabrand model PDV 709

I bought this player brand new last year and it has never worked without being plugged into and outlet in the house or in the car. The portable unit may have a lithium ion battery - way different charging method vs. lead acid car battery.
Trickle chargers don't cost very much - just go buy one.
Try taking the battery out than plug in the charger to see if it turns on. if this works than you have a bad battery but if this doesn't not work than you have either a broken on switch, ur charger is not working, or you shot the whole thing and it needs to be replaced.
I believe it can play ought right from AC without battery attached. In fact always playing it with battery AND AC could overcharge and kill the battery before its time. Enjoy your player
Some portable DVD players will charge from a home outlet, but not a car outlet. You probably need a replacement, however. You can get hold of universal chargers for most personal enertainment items thse days, Just make sure the correct conection is available . Most majot electrical outlets sell them.

check the connectivity of the charger using a multimeter. if there is anything wrong in it, you might have to open up and replace the wire in the charger. if the connectivity in the charger has no problem, then try replacing your batteries
There must be something wrong with the amount of power the power supply is providing. I would try and purchase another power supply, and see if it still happens. Another thing it could be is the port where you plug in the power cord, is the port loose or can you move it? If this is the case, it might not be receiving clean power.
