Hi, i have a w375, i can ring other people but cannot recieve sms or calls, the sim does recieve in another phone so thats ok it must be something on this w375, just incoming calls and texts i can,t get, , i looked at call barring but thats off, hope you can help.
That does sound odd. So what happens when people try to call you when your SIM is in the w375, what do they hear?
If the SIM works okay in another phone, it points to a physical problem with your w375's reception. Compared to other phones, I notice the w375 does need plenty of signal to work well.
If it is still under warranty, I'd suggest returning it for repair/replacement.That does sound odd. So what happens when people try to call you when your SIM is in the w375, what do they hear?

Is your display on your phone working, and its just that the incoming calls notification is not working when you recieve calls? Have you tried a hard reset? (battery pull) If your phones display is functioning, then more then likely it has to do with your settings of your phone. A long time ago with a older phone I had, I accidentally some how turned off my phones incoming calls notification. I was able to remedy this, but calling the phone company and they walked me through how to go into my phones settings and turn the incoming calls notifications back on. I would try this if you cant find it under your phones settings to turn the incoming calls notifications back on. Hope this helps. ;)
just go to settings then select security settings... then select call barring services...select incoming calls only.. take note that when you select incoming calls and barred it you cannot also recieved sms or mms... ok... then activate it and it will ask for barring password.. a 4 digit password.. just put the default password 1234... ok... enjoy...
mikey....not to worry after reading your problem i found it a software problem ......give that phone to your retailer for software formatting and every thing will be ok.
Somce cell phone carriers can block outgoing texts, separately from incoming texts.. You might want to check with your cell company and see if they accidentally blocked your incoming.
hi there, you sim card does not work the phone or the phone might lock with other provider-- try to turn off the phone - take out the battery and sim card - wait for 30 sec - put the sim card then the battery in - wait for 30 sec - turn on the mobile .. i hope you will able to make calls now.
sms thing... go to message settings - look for message center number if there is then it will be ok when you restart your phone but if you didnt find it call custoer service and ask the message center number. get it write it and you are ready to seend messages.
Thats not atall software prob buddy. You verify that your messages are saved on phone memory and that you are not using SIM stored numbers. You can surely backup all phone memory numbers to SIM by copying.
Settings / Ring Style / scroll down to Detail & press the left soft-key to CHANGE. In this menu you can adjust default ring volume, and select different sounds for calls, texts, voicemail, alarms and also adjust key volume.
If you are clever enough to make your own mp3 ringtones (they need to be tiny files to fit on this phone's tiny 500kb memory) you can even select these as your call or text alert.
