EC code is on with a flashing service light . Is this a problem that I can fix on my own?

Good day,
Cleaning the coils on a Sub Zero should be a routine procedure.
At least once a year.
Unfortunately the depth, fin design and overall layout of the Sub Zero machines does not lend itself to vacuuming.
The coils, to be cleaned properly must be blown out, from both ends.
Service techs carry nitrogen tanks or air under pressure with a hose to do the job.
If you do not have access to one of these devices, a quality push/pull shop vac with a crevice tool and some patience will do the job.
It's ugly and messy but there is no other way to do it properly.

It should be done as soon as possible, and if it produces no results on frig temperature a service tech qualified on Sub Zero should be called since it could easily be a serious problem.

Sub-Zero Error Code EC40: Freezer will not stop running

One this to try is a hard reset: unplug and wait for a few minutes and re-plug back in. Sometime this resets the service condition and will then display the error codes.

Ice is displayed when the ice maker is turned on. Press the ice on/off and it should turn off.

Error code six means: from SZ
Refrig. evaporator thermistor read open or shorted for 10+ seconds, or repeatedly read erratic temp’s
Erratic temp can be many things such as an open door. Clear the code by holding the bell key for 15-30 seconds or until you hear a tone. Keep an eye on your temps for a couple of days. If it comes back its time to call a service tech. If you are in OC I have the number of the best tech for Sub Zero in all of SoCal. There is more tests that can be done depending on how tech savvy you are.
