Microtek cx6 I power up my projector and it works fine for several minutes then the light goes out. Turn it off and back on it does the same thing. What could be the cause? I have an optoma hd70. with 610 hrs of lamp usage. the projector works for around 60 mins. then the lamp flickers and lamp fails. after power reset it work again for another 20 min. and so on. If i switch off the bright mode the same thing happens after 2-3 hours of usage. sameer

How long has it been running, projectors ALWAYS turn off when the overheat remove anything covering the cooling vents and it may have dust inside which will compound the problem.
Solution wait for 5-10 minutes.

the thermal fuse 1-900-222-47 could be the issue see service manual

does the "lamp/cover"-led light up? i had the same thing happening, the lamp either broke or is about to break and the projektor won't turn it on again to protect itself. if its very urgent, open the projector pull the lamp out and put it in again, it might work for 1 or 2 more times, but it is very likely to explode (usually not breaking the projector but for sure not good for it).

Your lap its not working , mabe is over 2000 hours , you need a new one.

Firstly check when the Projector is switched on , if all the fans are running.

If they are , then it can only be one of two things - either the Powersupply or the Ballast that has gone faulty.

Is there any indicator lights on the unit that flickers , and also what colour ?

Take out the lamp and check for any irreugularities on it like discolouration ( vein like looking marks in either white or black ) or if there is any bubbles on the shaft of the lamp. In which case the lamp will be at fault and will need replacement !

The Projector will turn off after so many hours of running the same bulb module. The counter will turn on a replace bulb LED. Installing the new bulb module should reset the counter and turn off the LED.

Check the projector’s lamp to ensure that it is securely connected
in the lamp module. Make sure by removing it and reinserting it.

Check the cables for problems.

When testing, power up in this order. Projector, Computer monitor, Computer.

A minor power surge may cause the lamp to shut off. Turn the
projector off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
