Canon A75 The screen on my A75 suddenly went a fuzzy shade of purple and does not now display any image. Has anyone else come across this problem please.

  • Anonymous May 04, 2008

sometimes when I start to take pictures with my A75, the pictures are purple. After making a few shots, this clears up. The camera is 4 years old, I have made 1,000 shots. Always check batteries and settings.

Same as before. Changed settings and batteries but no difference

Here is the link to the camera repair blog. The links to Canon are in the article. Just FYI, I called Canon, they immediately recognized the problem and within a day I had a UPS shipping label. My a75 is now in Illinois awaiting repair. Hope you have the same luck. Good luck, Greg (gt2003)

Hello!

Unfortunately it sounds like you have a bad CCD on your A75. You can try calling Canon to see if it is under the CCD recall. The recall is over, but Canon allegedly has still been accepting customer's cameras for the recall.

Good luck!
