Hello,

The problem with your phone is that the earpiece on your phone is bad that is why you cannot hear the party calling you or hear anything while you call.

All you need to do is to replace the earpiece on your phone and you will see that you can hear whoever you are talking to on your phone.

Change the earpiece on your phone and you will see that the problem is solved. meanwhile, you can keep using the headset pending the time you will replace the earpiece.

Take care.

Nokia E5 the only way i can make an outgoing call is to remove and replace battery. Otherwise I cant hear ring of outgoing call and when the other person picks up, they can hear me but i still cant hear...

HiCan you play songs ? If you can play songs then your earpiece is damage or short circuit and at the same time even if you play songs there is no sound then the problem comes from the Sound IC or its related components. So, if you can listen music just change the earpiece(the smaller speaker which is facing front side).Good luck

Songs playing but its mute, incoming calls not ringing

you can check if you speaker is broken by using a set of headphones. if you don't hear sound when using your headphones there is something wrong with your software settings. if you do hear sounds using your headphones you need to replace your speaker. You can buy a replacement speaker on ebay and do this yourself, of search for someone to do if for you. If you still have warranty on your phone just return it to the shop that sold the phone.

No sound

I'm having the same problem. However, I have discovered that it is something to do with the upper slide part of the phone. For some reason, if you push the slide down just a bit when you're trying to play music the sound comes on. Not sure how to fix this problem other than scrap the phone.

No sound when phone rings

I called Verizon Wireless and the said, if you go to “My Sounds” or “My Ringtones” select the song that you want to hear and press the play button. While the ringtone is playing press the button on the side of the phone to raise the volume…you should be able to hear the ringtone. Hope this helps!

Ringing sound when playing music

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
