The flashing green indicator is telling you (and the notebook) that the battery is almost fully charged, but then by switching immediately to flashing orange, the status has changed to "battery charge is low". Yes, the seven flashes mean that the tachometer setting has not been programmed. If you hooked up a tach wire (green with orange stripe) to an uncommon coil or injector wire, then you have to program tach: turn ignition on, press and release programming switch three (3) times. The parking lights will flash once to confirm. Turn ignition off. Press and hold programming switch. While holding the programming switch, start the vehicle. The parking lights will flash to confirm that the remote starter is getting a tach signal from the vehicle. Continue to hold the switch for approximately 15 seconds.The parking lights will continue to flash while holding the switch. Release the programming switch. The parking lights will come on solid for one second, then go off. The tach is not programmed. Turn ignition off. Test system.
