Re: your 26 trutech TV

My TV is not fixed yet. I have a friend who is trying to replace the capcitors. Not sure if it will work yet. I should find out soon wether it works or not. If it doesn't I will consider selling it.

Trutech tv model #PLV16260

Heres what mine did:no picture no sound, when i hit the remote the indicator light went out....piece of crap is six months old, cant find any info on it, cant get a hold of anyone at Trutech.
So i took it apart, on the board that the power cord is attached to, i found six blown capacitors. There is also a big ass one in the middle of that board which looked ok but blew out the bottom.I replaced them, and im watching it as i type.
Its fairly easy but if your not comfortable soldering on a cheap circuit board, take it to someone.
I hope it helps, i think this repair will fix the other Trutech models with the same problems.
