first, u would have to go into the media folder of what u want to receive. for instance u want to receive a ringtone, go to media then ringtones. go under device memory and press the menu button. scroll down and u should see "receive using bluetooth". the phone that you're receiving from should already b sending the info and should connect. you can do that 4 pics, videos, ringtones, songs, etc.
There are often cases where certain phones do not support sounds received via bluetooth to be used as ringtones. That is most likely the case if you are unable to set the sound as a ringtone.
if your computer supports bluetooth then go to control panel and find bluetooth and do the same with your phone and press sync on both. they should find eachother just make sure it finds the driver for it. then get a program to make ringtones from songs. like mp3 to ringtone gold or some sort of program thats what i use.
I've never received ringtones via bluetooth, but I do know Samsung made it ridiculously hard to customize your ringtones on the Rant. The only way I know of to do it, other than going online on the phone and downloading ringtones there, is to use a site like Myxer to send the songs you want directly to your phone.
Probably you have low memory on your phone, or the file that you are transferring is not supported by your phone..
Try to transfer another file or free up some space first.. if these would not work... last resort will be a master reset.. refer to your user's manual for master reset..
so what model do you have? now a days almost high end fone supported
mp3's use as ringtone..give me the history of your fone ( have u notice
some abnormalities of your fone aside from that?) have to ask you this
questions to give you good solutions for it.
