By nothing do you mean it does not power on? Is your laptop on? Does it have an image on the screen?

Most of the time, this is easily fixed by holding down your function key and pressing one of the F keys. Different laptops use a different key, but you are looking for the CRT/LCD key.

So, press and hold function + CRT/LCD and you should notice a change. Be patient as it sometimes takes a moment. There are 3 settings here. One will give you a display on your laptop but not the projector. One will give you a display on the projector but not the laptop, and one will give you a display on both. So if the first time you press function + CRT/LCD you get a change but it's not what you need, try it again and cycle through until you find what you want.

Connect laptop cable

Hi Anna,

It is impossible to connect to a projector with just a usb cable. You will need a VGA cable (for older models of projectors and laptops) or an HDMI cable which can be used with newer models.

Best of luck to you.

I cannot adjust the focus ,zoom ,or tilt on my Hitachi CP-X1250 projector

try adjusting it from the remote and from the buttons on top. if neither work there is a connector from the main board to the lens contacts you might be able to see it and adjust it having taken out the lens (bayonet with lock button. if all still fails I have a few spare main boards from lcd dead projectors, reasonable to replace. email me [email protected]

I am not getting any signal between my laptop and the projector. i am connecting with a vga cable

Hi i'm Allan!
There is some keys that you may have to press on the Laptop for it to connect to your projection, usally its FN key plus "F#" key that has the monitor logo. Different on every laptop though. What's the make and model of your laptop?
Keep me posted. Thanks!

I am not getting any signal between my laptop and my projector. it is connected with a vga cable

Hi,

You may need to turn on your laptops external VGA output. The easiest way is to reboot the laptop whilst connected to the projector whioch shoud be powered up.

If that doesn't work then look for the "Fn" key, usually blue or green on the botton left of the keyboard and hold it down whilst you press the "F" key (ie on the function row) which has a monitor icon in a matching colour. It may also say LCD, or CRT. This should cycle through available monitor output options, it will take a few seconds to complete the setup after each press.

CP-X260 PROJECTOR SHOWN A MASSAGE "CHECK AIR FLOW

If you have the user manual, read it first. It will show the reasons why those messages are poping up.Temperature sensors are located on the vents which gives you the problem messages. Usual problem is that the vents cooling your system is blocked preventing the air to cool your heating lamp.If you want to do service on your own(try your warranty first, opening the unit voids the warranty) you can unscrew the covers yourself.Unplug the unit first.Get a clear tape and as you remove the screws, tape the screws near the holes you got them from to prevent confusion upon rescrewing the covers back.Locate the vents filters, usually found on near exhaust fans and locate another one with a foam and screen near a smaller fan.Blow or get a smaller powered vacuum to **** dirts out.Re-install the foam and screen filter the way you removed it,be sure to observe the connector for the fans.

The projected picture is cut off on the right side

It's hard to tell you exactly what you need to do with so little information. If you are connected to a computer, it's possible your computer resolution is too high. I recommend nothing higher than 1024x768. These projectors simply can't support very high resolutions.

Another option is to go into your menu and look for the image settings. The one you need to adjust is called horizontal position.

Lamp and temp blink red

Check your owners manual. This means that the air filter needs to be cleaned or that the projector has become too cold. My guess is the first one. The owners manual has instructions for cleaning or replacing the air filter :)

Good luck!
