I have partitioned and formatted Drive; but only 1.99GG allowed/showing. My Fujisu Desktop system can accept and run 80Gb Drives. Win Mill and 2000 installed. Thanks.
Finally managed to resolve the problem by deleting and formatting everything on the disk, so that all data was removed. Did this twice to make sure it was completely clear. Then repartitioned and formatted etc. once again. Finally managed to resolve the problem by deleting and formatting everything on the disk, so that all data was removed. Sounds like the partition table is screwed up. I've tried simulating it as best I could. I created a 25 MB drive in this video and edited the partition table to show only 2 KB. Formatting only allows me to format the 2KB in your case it would be 0KB and formatting won't do anything. Try the steps in the video.
Your
external hard drive likely has no partitions so Windows has no drive to mount.
Follow these steps to create and format a partition for your external
hard drive.
1. Press Win+R to open the Run command. 2. Type "Control" into the dialog box. 3. Double-click Administrative Tools. 4. Double-click Computer Management. 5. Select Disk Management under Storage. 6. Find the 250 GB External Hard drive in the right pane. 7. Right click on the drive and select "Create new partition". 8. After the partition is created you will need to format the partition. 9.
Format the partition as NTFS unless you plan on booting off the hard
drive, in which case format the partition as FAT32. You can also create
multiple partitions if you want. 10. Enter My Computer and you will now see your external hdd.

Congrats, You got a nice virus. Its better you backup your drivers and data from ur root partition format it. reinstall your operating system and install avg 8.5 before browsing any of the other partition. I can surely tell u your task manager, registry editor or show hide folder won't be working. There is no permanent solution to this other than format. But beware don't browse other partition before installing avg 8.5. Your earlier installed antivir has given its way to virus its of no use. You won't be able to install antivirus or visit any malware removal virus site. welcome back.
Use any linux bootable distro, like puppy (100 MB ) Slax ( 200 MB) or ubuntu to make a live boot, or use any pc which has linux installed can format your USB to its full capacity.
please goto start>control panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>storage>disk management . Here you will find all unallocated space and allocateds too. please make those unallocated spaces new partition.
Since it is an old drive. It could just been formatted on 2 gig where FAT system that can run using windows OS. Just partition the rest that is remaining, activate it and then format it to make it usable. You can use third party partitioning software if you like. And before I forgot check also its jumper if setting is lock to access on 2 gig only.
i) you said that data is remaining as it when you delete folders one by one in your pendirve, according to me your pendrive is affected with virus, try to run antivirus, spyware scan on the pendirve and see whether you can delete them.... or you can perform format on it....
or
ii) if you have an windows xp cd try to insrt in cd tray and follow the procedure of loading xp(like press any key........) by restrarting system when you reach stage where all your drivers are show on a blue screen(i.e c drive with its memory show, d drive with its memory shown,,,,,
and even you pen drive is shown separtely....with last letter .....and the use key D to delete the partition by highlighting the pendrive and follow instruction complete format the pen drive after that try to press C to create partition so that u can use when you go onto your sytem or desktop(imp: you have to use C key to create partition otherwise ur pendirve will not work.....)
