Washing machine not spinning

I had a similar problem and about a week later it didn't wash at all.
Turned out the water inlet valve (one of the three) was faulty. The rubber seal/seat had a small hole and wouldn't open to allow water into the machine.
I wasn't prepared to pay the $213 for a new one so I went to our local appliance spares place and found one that was similar and used the rubber seal/seat from that to replace it. It was an electrolux single inlet valve part #360313 (from memory). Cost me $37. Could've got it for $22 delivered off ebay but I needed it asap.

Hi there are 3 possible causes.
1. Out of balance load (drum is divide into 3 sections if weight i one section is greater then 1.25kg than another section appliance will not spin)
2.Carbon brushes ( Normally good for at least 10 years)
3. Vent ( Y - Piece) from drain pump blocked.This requires front panel to be removed.
If the machine detects a fault then an indicator light will flash,(rinse light for motor circuit).
