Have installation disk but have lost serial number from an old OmniPage Pro 9 program. How would I come up with serial # so I can install?

The simplest way is to buy another copy of Pinnacle Studio v9. Amazon is your friend as it lists this version on CD-ROM for as little as US$1.21 + post.

uninstall the software and install again. Of course you must sure that you have enough space in your disk +enough RAM memory. This can cause the problem that you have. Liberate space and memory.You can uninstall some software that you are NOT using in your computer.

get the old program that you have installed and click on it to get up the properties tab
click on compatibility tab
click in square and then high light win 7 click apply and ok
the fault is that you are getting the error message as you have a program already installed and if you want to install a later version of the program you will first have to go to programs and features in the control panel and uninstall omnipage program and all programs associated with the omnipage name

uninstall the program, reboot and then reinstall it following the instructions and on-scree commands and prompts. if the result is the same, maybe consider changing the version of your os, maybe your os somewhat conflicts with the program. try using oem os'

It depends on if you have the full software installed. The MP160 documentation indicates it came wth ScanSoft OmniPage SE. Open MP Navigator and choose this program, you can output the scan as a text file. If you did a custom install, you may or may not have installed the program. If you omitted the program, do a new custom install.
OmniPage is an OCR program and will output to a number of formats (you will choose File, Save as) after scanning. Word can import RTF and most other choices as well as .doc files.

Alternatively, there is a free OCR program (simpleOCR.com) that will do the same thing. However it doesn't handle text in columns (newspaper or magazines) very well.

If so not unless when you open the software it allows you the option of looking at you license number like windows does.

The number that the install program needs is the software serial numberthat was on the jacket of the install disk. The drivers for the card should load without a serial number, but the main application needs it. Check with Pinnacle support, but I suspect you will need to purchase a new copy of the software.

Before you can install Nero 9 you'll need to find the serial number that came with the program. Nero 9 requires that you enter a unique serial number before using it.
If you've lost your serial number, there may be a way to find it as long as Nero 9 is still installed. You might be able to find your Nero 9 serial number if you've uninstalled the program but only if the serial number information was left in the windows registry.
