Well it all depends on how bad the wires were cut. If you bought a newer radio, they generally come with a harness. Basically a harness is a plug in with a bunch of cables running out the back of it. You can actually just connect the wires for the new radio straight to the wires from the car. A quick fix would just be to twist the wires together and put electrical tape around the bare wire showing.

Can anyone provide a free car radio code for a Peugeot 306 number CL0401X0019562 PU2294A?

You need to goto the dealer and ask them for the code, they have to know that the radio is not stolen, at least in the U.S. they will provide it for you if you go tothem and ask.

Peugeot radio code 306 cl0401y0253209

Your radio is made by CLARION and the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also  has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C7000000 + + + +  on a label somewhere on the metal casing.

If not then it will only be available from  your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Got a new Kenwood KDC-128 car radio recently, fitted it but the radio presets would not stay when the ignition was turned off. Then it stopped working altogether and I noticed the 10amp fuse at the back...

you need to hook the yellow wire off the back of the radio up straight to the battery this keeps memory power to the head unit then wire the wires in color coded sequence red to red black to black so on and so forth if this doesnt fix it you might want to think about replacing head unit
