Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Unfourtunately the panel would cost more than a new TV
if the panel could even be purchased.
I have managed to get good screens by buying TVs and ebay that had bad boards in them but you will need the exact model so that may be hard to do.
Installing a new panel is not to bad on an LCD, plasmas are not easy.?
?
?
If I have helped you with your issue
If you have more questions you can still respond
I will reply asap
Thanks

I have a thin red vertical line on my LG 42 inch LCD -- it appears regardless of the input -- satellite, dvd, etc. What's wrong with it?

You have a problem with the LCD screen, unfortunately the only cure is to replace the screen, if you have not had the TV for too long then it should still be under warrenty.

Have 42 inch LG flat screen...for about 3 years...

Take the back off with no power connected..You should have 2 invertor pcbs..one on the left and one on the right..well the side of the picture you cant see is the same side of the faulty invertor..replace this and this should solve the problem.it is the cheapest option..if not..im afraid is is a new LCD screen unless you are prepared to take it appart and replace backlight bulbs :)

I have a JVC 42" LCD plasma flat panel the screen went an orange-red plaid look..now the screen looks as if its shattered....HELP

Sorry but if it looks shattered....it is shattered.
Put it on Ebay and buy a new TV as the LCD Panel will cost you more than this model currently sale for.

LCD Sanyo screen looks shattered

The inner glass plate inside the screen is broken. The glass inside of these is very thin. I think it is only a few millimeters thick at the most.

The complete screen must be replaced to fix the fault. It will probably be cheaper for you to buy a new monitor rather than replace the screen!

Shattered screen on LG 42LB5D

Sorry to hear about that. The only solution is to get the plasma panel and it cost about three quarters of the total price. Must be installed by professional tv repairman. Usually not costwise to fix this problem especially with the prices coming down. Most technicians I relate to are downgrading plasma tv anyway and are promoting LCD as the best overall.
