Toshiba Satellite M35X-S311 PC Notebook restarts by itself

My Toshiba Satellite M35X-S311 PC Notebook keeps on restarting by itself a few minutes after turning it on. Only way I can Start it is through the safe mode. I tried cleaning the heat pad and replaced the memory but problem persisted. Please help!

Try booting into a live cd (like linux or UBCD4Win) to tell for sure whether it is a hardware or windows problem. If it runs from the live cd for a long time, then the problem is your windows installation. If it continues to act up from the live cd, then it is definitely a hardware issue. If I didn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to help you more...

If you can start it up on safe mode go and back up the files that you needed because formatting the HD will be needed and reinstalling the operating system. You can also download malwarebytes first and run it during safe mode. once it is finish restart it in normal mode if it does not work perform the 1st step above.

With 2GB RAM or more you can install/run Windows 7 on it and it should run okay (in my humble opinion).

NON DETECTION OF HARD DRIVE

I just responded to this. But I would also suggest that you check the memory on the laptop. It may be causing the Stop errors.
