Plural husbands? Check each wheel by jacking up that corner of the car and spin each wheel by hand. If one of more of the wheels makes this sound, there may be an incorrectly installed pad in the brake assembly which could be dragging on the rotor. Make sure that each caliper will retract properly. Hope this helps!

My 2006 VW Jetta is making loud, screaming/screeching, sound from the passenger side-front, behind the the dash/glove box, between the engine and wheel.

I would like to think it is the electric fan behind the radiator that is screeching. When you stop the car, everything should stop, but that fan. That fan is supposed to cool the radiator, even after the engine is off and the car stops. It would not be so bad, because it does not run as much, in cold weather, but in hot weather, it should start sooner and run longer.
I needs to be replaced.
Be blessed.

Jetta compressor makes a noise as if the fan belt is finished but when I lubricate it it goes silent then later makes that whistling sound. What could be the problem? and It's a year now.

If you are talking about the fan it's self it could be one of three things.
Fan belt may be worn and needs replacing or if its new the belt may need to be tensioned again as new belts do stretch a bit. But while you are there check the rubber of the belt for cracking or perished area
Could be a noisy bearing that needs cleaning or replacing which will make a whistle type sound.
Last is that the actual fan may be out of shape or the fan housing which could have a build up of dirt dust that could give off a odd sound.
Hope this is of some help

My 95 geo prizm makes a whistling noise when i turn it on and when i turn my wheel while im driving but it doesn't drive any different what could this be?

Do you think this could be a loose belt. The description sounds like a loose belt, which once warm quits squealing. Try and tighten the belt, to see if this may be the cause of your problem. Hope this helps FixYa up.

95 Jetta won't start weird buzzing sound near fuses

Jettas were notorious for electrical issues. I fought with one for 2 years.
The starter relay is on top of the starter in the center rear of the engine compartment near the firewall. Its mounted at the top of the bell housing, underneath the intake and next to the exhaust manifold and hard to get at from both the top and bottom. Personally, I'd take it to a good respectable foreign mechanic. Not worth fighting with

High pitched car sounds

does the noise and light occour at the same time ? another cause of a high pitched noise can be slipping drive belts, alternator, powersteering etc so check them for tightness, condition etc, does the noise happen when car staionary and just rev the engine ? if so i would say it is the drive belt/s, go back to the VW dealer re the ABS light and get them to check the OBD as should be done as part of the service , hope this helps
