I have D-Link ADSL 2+ router GLB-802C and BSNL internet . It was working properly. But now configuration has lost. The system is not configuring and internet is not working properly.
Most of the time, one _NEVER_ needs to install _ANY_ of the software provided with a D-LINK router -- it just works correctly straight "out-of-the-box".
First of all, what IP address does the 502 give you when you plug into it alone? Do an IPCONFIG from DOS and note the numbers.
Now, what is the default IP of the 524. Is it the same as the 502?
If it is, change your 524's IP to something else, like 192.168.1.1.
If it isn't, please post back what your IP configuration is and what the link is, DSL,Cable Modem, PPPoE, or DHCP either fixed or variable.
The Dlink device came with drivers which works in Windows XP. I installed vista driver from dlink website, but its of no use, it still doesn't work in Vista.
Well Dlink WORKS BEST in Ubuntu (Linux), without any driver installation. Either USB or LAN.
