You probably burned it up on the very last use. It stretched from regular overloading of the machine until one day it sawed itself in half.

Get a new belt and lighten your large loads a bit.

Be sure to check the motor and transmission mounts for any excessive wear or freeplay. This would also cause belt damaging slack.

good luck and be careful.

I have a majic chef CYE3004AYW dryer. When I turn it on nothing happens but the dial still moves like the timer is working.

Do you hear any noise like humming? Maybe the drum belt broke, might be a lower panel held on with two screws near the bottom, remove to look with a flashlight to see if belt is attached to motor. If in tact unplug the dryer and check heating element for burnt leads.

I have a top load Kenmore 110.27731600, purchased in 2007. It will no longer agitate for any cycle. Previously the agitator seemed to "slip" like a belt was getting loose, altho in reference...

There has to be a belt. Must be broke, or motor could be burnt up, too many heavy loads will do that. Will be on bottom of unit naturly. Check to see if it is broke.

The dryer throws hot air, but the barrel inside will not go around

it is either your belt broke, the rollers or your motor burnt out. you will have to take a screw driver and remove the front panel. Make sure it is unplugged. one the screws are removed you will have to pry the top up, it should pop off easy if not then you missed a screw. Lean the lid all the way up an look to see if the belt is around the drum, shold be in the middle and tight.

My washer started smoking and smelling like burnt rubber during the spin cycle what needs to be fixed

Sounds as if your belt burnt up. Could be a bearing froze up or your belt broke and got caught on the pulley. You will have to look inside the machine from the back to see what it is. If the drum does not spin by hand easily it is probably the bearings

2002 SPORTAGE LOW COMPRESSION #3 CYLINDER, STUCK VALVE?

For you to get a good look and be 100% of what it is YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE HEAD, I would more like suggest a burnt valve rather than a bent valve unless you broke the timing belt on this vehicle. Good Luck and contact if you need more help. Thanks for using FIX YA

Electrolux Hi-light

Burnt smell is probably the belt slipping. Even though it looks OK, either the belt needs replacement and/or the roller needs cleaning and/or lubrication at the ends. Try cleaning the roller ends first and then light lubrication with WD40. If belt works, you are done. If not, replace belt.
