I have a Vintage 1965 Magnavox Console Stereo. It is in excellent condition, (everything works on it). No dings and even still has a new needle, all original paperwork with it. I would think there must be some value to it as people collect the old vinyl records. I want to sell, but don't know where to start or how much to ask. Any advice you have would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi mesha
To answer your question;
Of course the value is in the eye of the beholder but i`d say go to Ebay and search for your model number or look into vintage stereo systems for something that would be equivalent.
It should give you a pretty good idea of it`s estimated value.
Hope this help Good luck

I have a magnavox stereo/radio model 2P3320. The radio works great but when you play the record player we loose volume? Any answers would be appreciated? Thank you

The needle on the pickup cartridge may have 30 years of dust accumulated on it, preventing it from going into the groove on the record. The needle may be dull from years of use and not fit properly in the groove on the record. The pickup cartridge may not work as well as it did in the last century, (I know I don't.)
Sometime since it was new, someone may have replaced the needle and or cartridge with one that didn't quite match the system. In any case a new needle and cartridge will pick up more and better sound from your records.

How to fix a Magnavox record player.

It might just need a new belt or a few drops of oil on the motor bearing.
You will have to open it up and check whether the belt has perished, or stretched.

    All I can suggest is to go backwards through what you did. Look for the part that seems wrong or out of place. It could be something as simple as a mounting or bolt in the wrong place. Or even something fitted the wrong way around.
