Hey, watch this tutorial and try the things it suggest.

Id highly recommend, restarting, and returning the device into the original state.

All this is covered in the video here:

I just bought a used ipod video 30gb and it wont connect to my itunes

You will probably need to restore your ipod using iTunes
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339

If there's any music on it, it may be worth trying to copy this first to your computer using an iPod Transfer program.

My 30GB ipod Video wont restore. it says connect to the computer to restore, i do, it cannot completely restore it though. Any ideas?

Did you just plug it in or did you actually go through the Five Rs?
Use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod. http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/

My 30gb ipod is locked

restore your ipod, it will solve the problem.
Here is the REAL solution. Ending ipodservice.exe will NOT WORK.

1) Plug your ipod into the computer using firewire or USB.
2) Open MY COMPUTER
3) Wait until the ipod shows up as a drive letter
4) Right click on the ipod drive letter and do a ' quick format ' (Now the ipod is just a plain windows hard drive)
5) When it is complete, run the ipod updater and do a Restore. This puts the ipod software back onto it
6) Remove the ipod from the usb or firewire port, plug it into the wall power supply and allow it to finish the update

If I've helped one person, then I'm happy.

No sound from my 30GB ipod in the car and Bose sound dock

It sounds like an issue with the internal motherboard and possibly the audio jack. I'd reccomend taking it into a local apple store to have them fix it or contacting them via their support website here. Also you may want to consider their price quotes vs purchasing a new one when you talk to them.

Unlock my Apple iPod 30GB

From Apple:

----------------------------
Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize.----------------------------

Unable to upload songs in ipod

Try restoring your iPod, it seems like that should solve it. Make sure you don't have anything on your iPod you need, because restoring it erases all data off the iPod.
